I am a PhD researcher in Human–Computer Interaction at Santa Clara University, advised by Kai Lukoff. My research asks how generative AI can expand what people are able to create and accomplish—especially in work that has traditionally required specialized technical expertise.

I approach this question through user-defined computing and Generative User Interfaces (GenUI), where the lines between designing, developing, and using software begin to blur. Instead of working within interfaces fully predetermined by developers, people can increasingly shape and generate computational experiences around their own goals.

My current work examines how people form and refine their intent as they shape interfaces at runtime, and how designers can specify what a generative system is free to change—and what it must preserve.

I'm open to working with undergraduate and master's students! Read my papers and email me if interested.
